Project Management

Process Mapping

So many projects depend on a complete understanding of existing processes to be successful. Process mapping captures the current and desired states of a system before project design begins to make sure that the solution meets all the needs of a client and is sensitive to any particular restrictions or conditions that are a real part of everyday work. The CSU can assist in making sure this crucial process is carried out before work begins to ensure a comprehensive approach to meeting all of a client's needs.

Scope Analysis and Definition

Determining what a project will and won't do is a key element to delivering functional software, on time, and controlling costs. Scope analysis and definition is the process of making sure all deliverable items are accounted for, and helps to define work that will be done in the future. The CSU follows well established frameworks to make sure that the scope of your project is well defined, resulting in systems that do what they are supposed to, when they are supposed to, and that costs to the clients are kept under control.

Project Control

Left unchecked, even small projects can become major or costly work efforts. Project control is the process of keeping track of progress towards deliverables costs, and communicating these critical details with the client. The CSU can manage your project from its beginnings through to implementation, according to industry standard practices, to make sure that your project gets done on time, to scope and to budget.

Change Control

Projects are always in motion, and when changes are needed, quality change control creates a framework for making sure they are well documented, and that their impact is understood, before they happen. One change can invalidate much hard work when those changes are not well controlled. The CSU uses a variety of tools and techniques to make sure that your living project can change as it needs to, but in a controlled way, to ensure overall success.
