History

  • CSU was established in 1969, in an era of mainframes, punch cards, and computer operators.
  • As technology has evolved, so has CSU – we have grown from a core group to a large department specializing in four streams of service.
  • As our group expanded, so did our knowledge base, enabling CSU to provide our clients with a wider range of expertise and solutions.
  • CSU launched the FHSAdmin server (Exchange Email & S Drive Services) 23 years ago.
  • CSU launched it's first smart classroom in 2002 in conjunction with campus AV.
  • CSU moved to a virtual infrastructure in 2007; the first technology group on campus to do so.
  • CSU supported the technology behind the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine becoming the first distributed medical program in Ontario, and the second in Canada.
